Speaker Profiles & Topic Information

Hosts of America's #1 Hunting Show -- Lee & Tiffany Lakosky!
Lee & Tiffany Lakosky are the hosts of the #1 show on the Outdoor Channel, Scent-Lok's Gettin' Close with Lee and Tiffany. Both Lee and Tiffany spend countless hours sharpening their archery skills and actively manage their land for trophy whitetails in eastern Iowa. Many viewers will easily recognize both Lee and Tiffany due to the widespread use of many of their trophy photos and magazine articles which have appeared in dozens of high profile publications and catalogs over the past few seasons. Ron Kuntz, host of WHO radio’s Sportsman Notebook and Field Editor for the Iowa Sportsman magazine, will moderate this Q&A panel.

Legendary Longbow Archer Byron Ferguson
Byron became infatuated with the bow and arrow at the age of 12 and began working as a bricklayer’s helper to earn money to purchase his first recurve. Now famous for his coin trick, Byron once shot eight dimes in a row out of the air. He uses no sights or other gadgets when he shoots. He developed his style of shooting by sitting in a totally dark room and shooting out the flames of candles. Splitting a playing card in half - from the side - is one of Byron’s favorite tricks.

Byron strongly believes in Howard Hill’s philosophy: “If you want to become a good archer then you should learn the bow and let your body become an extension of the bow. If you want to become a great archer, you should let your body become the arrow. Byron appeared on American Shooter on TNN, ESPN, ESPN2 and OLN for ten years where his "SHOT OF THE WEEK" was the most watched portion of the show. Byron is again working with Jim Scoutten, host of American Shooter, on Jim’s new OLN program Shooting USA.

Greg Miller
Wisconsin’s Greg Miller is a hardcore deer hunter with 40 years worth of deer hunting experience. Greg has hunted whitetails in 18 states and three Canadian Provinces. His biggest bucks to date are a 180 3/8 typical gun-kill from Alberta and a 202 5/8 non-typical bow-kill from Wisconsin. Greg has written for all the major hunting publications, and to date has had more than 1000 articles published. He also has authored five best-selling books on deer hunting and co-authored more than a dozen others. In the mid-1990's Greg began appearing in and co-producing the “PrimeTime Bucks” deer hunting videos for Hunter’s Specialties. The videos have been some of the most popular and best-selling on the market. He also has made regular appearances on “Realtree’s Monster Bucks” videos. For the past four years, Greg was co-producer and co-host of the highly rated TV show, “North American Whitetail Television”, which airs on The Outdoor Channel. Greg also is a co-host for “Realtree’s Whitetail Country” on ESPN-2. In addition, he is a co-host for “Thompson Center’s Game Trails” and also appears on “H.S. Outdoors”, both of which air on The Outdoor Channel. Greg would like to announce that he spent the entire 2007 hunting season filming for his own show, "IN PURSUIT with Greg Miller". The show, which is being presented by Scheel's, will air on Saturdays at 7:30pm Central Time on The Outdoor Channel starting the end of June, 2008.

As a member of the Hunter's Specialties pro staff, Matt travels around the country conducting seminars on turkey and deer.

His deer and turkey hunting techniques have been featured on ESPN, TNN, videos, several radio shows and depicted in writing through numerous magazine articles. As a member of the Hunter's Specialties Pro Staff, Morrett travels around the country conducting seminars on turkey and deer hunting. Using his acquired knowledge, he is instrumental in designing and field testing many products manufactured by Hunter's Specialties.

Olympic Gold Medallist Archer --- Rod White!
Perhaps one of the biggest keys to consistently harvesting truly mature whitetails is understanding how they communicate. Olympic Gold Medalist Archer and Professional Bowhunter, Rod White, reveals the true meaning of whitetail vocalizations, body language, scent distribution, territorial markings and more in this short presentation through the use of video and still shots of wild, mature whitetails. Come see Rod at the 2008 Iowa Deer Classic and increase your odds for taking that midwestern buck of a lifetime!

Master Processor Bill Hesselgrave
Process your Deer like a Pro!

Back by popular demand, Bill will once again be holding his Venison Processing demonstrations using real deer. For those who typically bring their deer in for processing, or for those who have been cutting up their own deer for years, be sure and stop by and see how its supposed to be done. We guarantee you'll pickup a few pointers.
